Home Kit Instructions
Your at home candle making kit include:
- 1 Candle Jar
- 1 candle wick and wick sticker
- 1 Wick holder
- 5 oz All natural soy wax
- .5 oz All natural fragrance oil ( scents may vary)
- 1 Metal Stirring stick
- 1 Candle warning label
- 1 Candle label
*You will need a microwave safe cup or dish to melt your wax in. You can also use a metal pouring pot or double boiler method
Step 1:
Place your candle waning label centered at the bottom of your candle jar
Step 2:
Place your wick sticker on the bottom of the metal wick base and center it in the bottom of the inside of your candle jar. Note* The more centered your wick is, the more even your candle will burn.
Step 3: Place the wick through the center hole of your wooden wick holder and allow the wooden holder to rest on the rim of the candle jar. This will keep your wick centered while you are pouring your wax.
Step 4: Melt your wax via your method of choice. If using a microwave, melt at 15 seconds at a time to ensure you do not let wax burn. Once all 5 oz are liquid, your wax is ready to go.
Step 5: While wax is still hot , immediately add your fragrance oil and use metal stirrer to slowly stir in wide circles for 15 -20 seconds
Step 6: Once wax and fragrance oil is mixed , pour slowly into candle jar and try to avoid getting wax on the wooden stick , or along the side of the jar (pour in open space and allow jar to fill but not all the way. Leave about an inch at the top of the jar to allow room for the tip of the wick and your lid)
Step 7: Allow your candle to dry until the wax has completely hardened (about 2 hours) and then trim your wick.
Step 8: Stick your candle label on the front of your jar and and place the top on candle. Place candle in a safe place to cure for about 1 week before burning. This will allow the scent and wax to bind and give you a more potent hot scent throw.
Pro tip: At first burn, if you notice candle is burning high and emitting a little soot, while this is normal depending on how and where the candle is burning , you can put your candle out, immediately trim wick down just a little lower and relight candle immediately. Do not allow the wax to dry before you relight. Be sure to read your candle safety warning sticker on the bottom of your candle before burning and be sure to trim your wick after every burn to ensure a clean burn each time,
